‘Spring Breakers’, starring Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, & James Franco, begins filming in Sarasota, FL on Monday by Christine on February 29, 2012
According to TampaBay.com the new movie Spring Breakers will begin production on Monday in Sarasota, FL.
The production is expected to spend five days shooting at Sarasota’s Ringling College of Art and Design.
The movie’s stars, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Heather Morris, are all expected to be involved in the scenes which will include exteriors on campus, and interiors in a student residences and a laundry room.
Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Benson were spotted at the airport in Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday where they took a photo with fans. The girls were reportedly on their way to Florida for the movie.
Spring Breakers follows four college girls who rob a fast-food restaurant to go to spring break and land themselves in jail. Along the way they meet up with a shady criminal who bails them out of jail in exchange for them killing his arch-rival. James Franco plays the criminal.
After wrapping in Sarasota, the movie will move to St. Petersburg.
